I started doing yoga as a way to keep fit, and it eventually became an essential part of my life. I completed my Hatha Yoga teacher training in July 2015. In 2018, I found my passion and my niche after I did my yin and restorative yoga teacher trainings, which eventually led me to study mindfulness and trauma-informed practices.
I like keeping my sessions spontaneous, with emphasis on a safe and mindful practice, and lots of laughter. While I enjoy teaching a good and sweaty vinyasa flow, my favourite classes are those where you slow down and connect with yourself. The more I teach yoga, the more I am interested in using it as a tool to build body awareness, as well as mental and emotional resilience. Restorative yoga helped me become better at managing stress and my personal mental health issues, so I teach this style as a way to give back to society.
I see myself as an aspiring "relaxation specialist", so I become intrigued with anything that helps my hyperactive mind find stillness. One of them was the gong. I was amazed by how a simple disc could produce a rich variety of overtones, and its vibrations helped me to find stillness and peace. In 2019, I did my gong trainings with Martha Collard of Red Doors Studio and Gong Master Don Conreaux. I am a certified gong master.
Credentials aside, I prefer to see myself as a yoga and sound meditation facilitator and forever student of life.
