Theta Sound Bath: Solstice 冬至
Time & Location
About the Event
The winter solstice marks the first day of winter and celebrates the longest hours of darkness. It is believed to be a time for regeneration, renewal and self-reflection. In Asian culture, the winter solstice translates to 冬至 (dōngzhì). It represents balance and harmony in life: the yin qualities of darkness and cold peaks on the shortest day of the year, but also mark a turning point for the incoming yang qualities of light and warmth.
As we draw to the year's end, come join Theta Space's Gongsters on the eve of 冬至 (dōngzhì), for a special Solstice Gong Bath. Take this time for your own regeneration, renewal and self-reflection as we look back on 2019, and prepare for a new year of light and warmth.
Mats are provided, just arrive in comfortable clothing, a jacket/shawl for warmth, a face towel and your water bottle. You can bring your favourite meditation cushion if you want.
